Still figuring out how to get this actually up and running

I know there are communities to join, and some of it is also just finding people to follow. But unlike the last time I joined a new website, I have much fewer people around to immediately follow. But we shall see.

The last time I took an attitude of "if you post, eventually people will come". And that may still be true, while I'm figuring out how to fill in my feed and make it something I want to check on.

Sneak: Lydean did a pretty good Dreamwidth masterpost on getting set up here, if that would be helpful! We don't use comms much anymore, but when we did, we generally found them by searching by interest or going through the comms in the profiles of people we like!

Thanks! I've certainly appreciated seeing you popping up in my comments so regularly. I think I could get a taste for it, if only as a nice spot to semi-publicly journal. That's a nice internet thing to do.

same, though now that we have been here a few days, we've noticed a slow trickle of activity that might be just enough to keep us engaged.

it took a while to get going on cohost as well. even there most of our posts were met with silence. i do value peace and quiet but i don't want total silence. that's what paper is for. (i somehow have more followers here than we did on cohost already, i hope they realize they're probably subjecting themselves to mostly unpleasant emotional processing from this blog.)

If they don't, I suppose they'll learn soon enough. And hey, at least some will probably be there for the ride.

If you go to "explore" and "latest things" it will actually show you all the most recent posts that have been made to the site! We find its a great way to find active people to follow.
